Connect APAC have been exclusively engaged by one of the world's leading Confectionary Organisations to source an Area Sales Manager for their Melbourne based Sales team. Reporting into the State Operations Manager, this role is focused on a combination of managing a Territory (South Eastern Suburbs) while being responsible for the development and management of two Territory Managers. This role would be ideal for an existing Area Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager or perhaps even an ambitious Territory Manager with some prior management experience throughout their career.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with key customers (store and Area/Regional Managers) to maximise sales opportunities each session.
* Ensure the achievement of all assigned Sales Team targets with all information captured correctly – maintaining accuracy and integrity of all data inputs.
* Meet key customer contacts to upsell major activities and negotiate additional display activity.
* Monitor the field activities performance and the proper accomplishment of sales and activity targets.
* Develop plan to achieve all display and Execution Quality targets as outlined in the Activity Execution Guide.
* Ensure the Availability of all POS Material for activations in-store, including the ordering of all POS to Local Sheds in a timely manner.
* Conduct weekly team meetings to ensure all team members are aligned to current activity priorities.
* Monitor the field activities performance and the proper accomplishment of sales and activity targets.
* Coordinate and supervise all direct reports, defining priorities and operational plans according to programs and initiatives scheduled.
* Ensure all field processes (Sales Force Automation) are completed accurately as required.
* Communicate all head office agreed activities to all direct reports to ensure the implementation and compliance at store level.
Key Requirements
* Experience at Area Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager or Territory Manager level required.
* Ability to manage a territory effectively.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team of direct reports.
* Ambitious and keen to progress career.
