Job Title: Skills Trainer/Facilitator
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skills Trainer/Facilitator to join our team in Darwin. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants to build confidence, identify strengths, and transition towards meaningful employment.
* Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages active engagement and self-discovery.
* Design and deliver culturally responsive, strengths-based learning sessions using structured yet flexible frameworks.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop high-quality session plans, facilitation guides, and learner materials for digital and paper use.
* Support the delivery of employer-focused workshops that foster inclusive, culturally safe workplaces.
* Work closely with mentors to ensure learning materials align with participant goals and workplace readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program Development: Design a scaffolded program of workshops that progress from confidence-building to employer expectations.
* Learner Support: Build strong relationships with participants, celebrating strengths and milestones.
* Collaboration: Work closely with mentors, counselors, and the engagement officer to align training with participant plans and wellbeing.
