Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Leader
Seeking an exceptional professional to lead our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a leading children's hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure focus on service development and appropriate practices, trends, and indicators.
* Service Development: Develop an operational plan for the nursing service, identify and actively seek to develop a staffing profile reflective of the service needs, and manage a budget within the medical stream.
* Strategic Direction: Be involved in the provision of strategic, operational direction, and services at a hospital, network, and state-wide level.
Duties and Expectations:
1. Ongoing assessment and improvement in operational processes and clinical outcomes is an inherent responsibility of this position.
2. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient safety, staff development, and high-quality care.
3. Lead by example, inspire, motivate, and support nurses to reach their full potential through identifying, developing, and facilitating a range of strategies to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to undertake their roles and deliver quality care.
Requirements:
* A bachelor degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification with relevant experience.
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Extensive experience in a leadership role, preferably in a paediatric intensive care setting.
