Position: Retail Store Manager
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $76,500 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum
Location: East Bunbury WA 6230
Work Hours: 38 hours per week (rostered shifts including weekends and public holidays as required)

As the Retail Store Manager you will be responsible for the overall management, performance and day-to-day operations of the retail store. The successful candidate will lead a team of retail staff, drive sales performance, ensure outstanding customer service, and maintain compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage and motivate a team of staff to achieve sales targets, deliver excellent customer service and maintain store standards
* Oversee day-to-day store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance with company policies and procedures
* Manage stock control, inventory ordering, receiving of goods and loss prevention strategies to minimise shrinkage and maximise profitability
* Recruit, induct, train and performance manage retail staff in accordance with company HR policies and applicable employment laws
* Monitor and analyse store sales performance, prepare regular reports and implement strategies to meet and exceed KPIs and budgets
* Maintain store presentation, visual merchandising and product displays to maximise customer engagement and drive sales
* Resolve customer complaints and escalations promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience at all times
* Ensure the store is fully compliant with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments
* Liaise with suppliers, head office and other stakeholders to coordinate promotions, pricing strategies and product ranging
* Undertake additional duties and projects as directed by management to support overall business objectives.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Minimum two (2) years of experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably in a similar retail environment
* Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage a team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
* Strong commercial acumen including experience with budgets, P&L management, inventory control and sales reporting
* Knowledge of applicable employment legislation including Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and Occupational Health and Safety obligations
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers, staff and stakeholders
* Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems, Microsoft Office, and retail management software.
Desirable
* Formal qualifications in Business Management, Retail Management or a related discipline
* Experience working across multiple retail formats or product categories
* Experience with visual merchandising, promotional planning or marketing campaign execution

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
* Work is performed in a retail store environment with regular customer-facing responsibilities
* Frequent standing and walking on the shop floor; occasional desk-based administrative tasks
* Rostered shifts including weekends, public holidays and peak trading periods as required by business needs
* Occasional lifting and manual handling of stock and deliveries (up to 20kg)
* Required to present in a professional and neat manner in accordance with the company's dress code policy
* Exposure to a busy retail environment with high customer traffic, particularly during peak seasons and promotional periods
Remuneration
* Salary: As per applicable Australian award rates or as negotiated based on experience and qualifications

Duration and Permanence of Position
