Description:
At Engineering UK, we are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our team at the first Sort Centre in Melbourne.
You will be responsible for motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team to maintain high levels of safety, quality, attendance performance, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain Health and Safety standards while promoting a positive Health and Safety culture on-site
2. Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
3. Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
4. Identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean processes and tools
5. Build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts and partnering with other Area Managers
6. Lead and develop a team of Amazon associates
7. Communicate policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team
8. Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
9. Create and manage recognition and communication programs
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience
