Job Description: We're looking for caring and friendly support workers to provide meaningful support and companionship for our participants. Ideal candidates will have fluent English-speaking skills to ensure clear and effective communication with our client.
Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities
* Support individuals in developing and maintaining social connections within the community
* Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients, promoting their independence and self-confidence
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and activities
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans
Qualifications / Skills / Experiences
* Previous experience in a similar role
* First Aid/CPR certification
* NDIS worker screening is essential
* Valid unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation
* Mandatory module certificates (NDIS Induction/Orientation Module, Mealtime Safety, Infection Prevention & Control)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of NDIS safeguarding principles and best practices
* Enthusiastic about supporting people with psychosocial disabilities, intellectual disability, and/or mental health needs
