Breakfast Chef - Mercure Newcastle at Bendigo Advertiser
Mercure Newcastle is seeking a Full Time Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a diverse range of breakfast dishes, from traditional full hot breakfast to healthier and continental options, and for managing the breakfast section to ensure on-time, high-quality presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and serve breakfast for the buffet with variety and flair.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy; wash all dishes during service.
- Assist with in-house functions, restaurant and cafe food as required.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience in buffet breakfast service preferred.
- Deliver consistent, high quality food while maintaining set food cost.
- Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests.
- Great communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests.
