The Y NSW is embarking on a critical shift to centralised procurement, delivering stronger governance, better value, and improved operational confidence across a multi‐site organisation. The Procurement Lead will play a pivotal role in building and operationalising a centralised procurement function across FY26–27.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the centralisation of the highest‐impact procurement categories
* Socialise Delegations of Authority and approval processes with Operations to build confidence and improve adoption
* Accelerate savings opportunities, supplier consolidation, and data‐driven decision‐making
* Drive urgent procurement activity including tenders, supplier compliance audits and contract renegotiations
* Implement systems, processes and controls to improve organisational procurement maturity
* Conduct risk‐based supplier audits, prioritising high‐frequency site visitors and ensuring WWCC compliance
* Organise supplier reviews, ensure contract files and documentation are accurate and complete
* Provide visibility of spend, trends and supplier performance across business units
* Support fleet operations, stocktake processes, and liquidation of aged/excess inventory
About You
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar procurement role, ideally in a multi‐site environment
* Strong experience in tenders, contract negotiations and supplier management
* Proven capability influencing internal and external stakeholders
* Comfortable working in environments where structure is maturing and improvements are continuous
* Strong problem‐solving, communication and relationship‐building skills
* Commitment to the Y's values and safeguarding principles
