The role of an Expert Agronomy Advisor is pivotal in the agricultural sector. As a trusted advisor, you will play a key part in supporting cropping clients across the Darling Downs and Western Downs region.
Delivering practical agronomic advice and support is crucial in helping growers make informed decisions regarding chemical, fertiliser, seed and soil health.
* Establish and maintain strong, service-based relationships with broadacre cropping clients
* Provide tailored agronomic advice across chemical, fertiliser, seed and soil health
* Conduct on-field assessments and deliver crop monitoring and planning services
* Develop seasonal programs and input plans to support on-farm success
* Identify opportunities to expand your client base and cross-sell related products and services
Responsibilities:
To succeed as an Expert Agronomy Advisor, you have:
* Postgraduate qualifications in agricultural science or a related field
* Practical experience in broadacre/ horticulture/ viticulture agronomy, agricultural product sales, or crop consulting
* Strong technical knowledge of cropping systems and sustainable input planning
* Sound use of digital farm management systems for planning and recording recommendations
* Current driver's licence and the ability to work independently in the field
