Fenner Conveyors, a Michelin Group Company are looking for a safety focused Trade Qualified Electrician on a permanent basis based at our Mackay branch .
This role will be predominantly workshop based with an expectation that from time to time, you will need to attend various sites throughout the region. You will be responsible for testing, inspection, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
* Test, repair and maintain electrical equipment ensuring safety and quality compliance.
* Assemble electrical switch gear and control
* Responsible for fault finding and troubleshooting surface and underground equipment
* Complete electrical test and tag, ensuring all electrical equipment is compliant.
* Maintain IP Rating
* Apply trade and job knowledge in the assembly of electrical equipment and in the interpretation of electrical schematics and other documentation.
What you need to be successful:
* Trade qualified Electrician (QLD)
* Mechanical Aptitude
* Previous Mining/Conveyor Industry experience – highly desirable
* Knowledge of the maintenance and replacement of electrical switchgear
* Own tools of the trade (specialised tools will be supplied)
* Experience with underground mining equipment
* Current LVR and CPR
* Ability to read electrical drawings;
* Demonstrated ability to problem solve;
* A strong commitment to safety and quality; and
* Forklift ticket EWP and working at heights tickets and advantage but not essential
