Join the housekeeping team at Oval Hotel, uniquely located in the heart of Adelaide Oval. We're looking for a reliable and adaptable Houseperson who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys being an essential part of a close‐knit hotel team.

As our Houseperson you'll support the housekeeping team to ensure our hotel rooms and public areas are presented to a world‐class standard. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, variety in their day and contributing behind the scenes to exceptional guest experiences.
This permanent part‐time role offers a minimum 15 hours per week and requires availability across the week, including evenings and weekends.
What you'll be doing
* Supporting the housekeeping team with cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms and public areas
* Maintaining high presentation standards across internal and external hotel spaces
* Stocking and restocking housekeeping trolleys, linen rooms and stores
* Assisting with linen handling, laundry and amenity supplies
* Delivering guest items such as towels, toiletries and dry cleaning when required
* Performing cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, waste removal and surface cleaning
* Reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly
* Responding politely to guest enquiries and assisting where required
* Following hotel security, WHS and safety procedures at all times
What you'll bring
* Previous experience in a similar role (hotel or commercial cleaning experience desirable)
* Excellent physical fitness, strength and stamina to meet the manual demands of the role
* Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks safely
* Strong attention to detail and pride in high standards
* A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider team
* Ability to follow procedures and work both independently and as part of a team
* Professional presentation and a guest‐focused mindset

* Please note out-of-hours work is a requirement of this role in line with the business's operational needs, including working days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
