Responsibilities:
* Lead the compliance function at a national level while collaborating with wider group compliance teams.
* Develop, implement and oversee compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
* Keep up to date with regulatory and industry changes, ensuring the organisation is ready to meet new obligations.
* Conduct risk assessments and compliance reviews to identify gaps and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide compliance guidance and support business initiatives while meeting regulatory expectations.
* Act as the main contact for regulators during audits and inquiries, maintaining positive relationships.
* Provide regular reports to senior leadership on compliance performance, emerging risks and areas for improvement.
What you'll need to succeed:
* Over 10 years' experience in senior compliance roles.
* More than 5 years' experience within organisations holding an AFSL.
* Proven leadership and team management skills developed over 5+ years.
* Strong background in AML/CTF with over 5 years of hands-on experience.
* Experience leading or contributing significantly to AFSL applications.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
* Sound commercial awareness combined with deep industry knowledge.
* Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements across legal and compliance functions.
