About the Role

As the People & Culture Advisor, you will be a key on‐site business partner supporting our Millmerran operations across the Mine and Power Station.

Reporting to the EGM – People & Culture, with a dotted line to the Plant Manager, this role provides first‐line advice and delivery across employee and industrial relations, workforce lifecycle processes, recruitment and core people initiatives.

You will work closely with leaders and employees to provide practical, timely support, while contributing to the effective delivery of P&C strategy and enabling operational performance. This is a hands‐on role requiring a high level of autonomy, judgement, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, safety‐critical environment.

This role is primarily site‐based at Millmerran.

Responsibilities

* Partner with leaders across MOC to provide advice and support on all core P&C matters
* Manage end‐to‐end recruitment for site‐based roles, including capability alignment, agency/candidate management, and onboarding
* Support employee and industrial relations matters, including grievances, and performance management
* Interpret and apply the Enterprise Agreement, Awards and employment conditions
* Deliver core people processes, including performance, talent, succession and development, and engagement
* Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including inductions and exit insights
* Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance across the employee lifecycle (Dayforce and associated systems)
* Prepare reporting and provide insights to support workforce planning and decision‐making
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and frameworks, including Fair Work, WHS, SOCI and internal policies
* Coordinate training and development activities and support capability uplift across the site
* Liaise with external providers where required (e.g. recruitment, legal, immigration, benefits)
* Contribute to P&C projects and continuous improvement initiatives

To be Successful in this Role, You Will Have

* Minimum 5 years' experience in an HR Advisory or generalist role
* Experience in a heavy industry, operations‐based environment (e.g. mining, energy, oil & gas)
* Demonstrated experience managing employee and industrial relations matters
* Strong working knowledge of Fair Work Act, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and WHS legislation
* Proven ability to operate autonomously and manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels
* High level of attention to detail, sound judgement and discretion
