At Hydro Tasmania, we're leaders in renewable energy, powering Australia with clean hydropower. We really care about making a difference for better outcomes.

We are open to discussing workplace flexibility in all our vacancies, to ensure we can attract the best candidates and accommodate individual needs, differences, disabilities and working arrangements. Our merit based recruitment practices are founded on building diversity by fostering an inclusive, flexible and equitable workplace.

About You:

A qualified professional with a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering is required. The successful candidate will be driven and enthusiastic about working in the renewable energy sector, particularly within the asset management environment. Awareness of the ISO 55001 standard for Asset Management is desirable, supported by extensive technical and engineering expertise.

You excel at gathering, researching, and analysing diverse information sources, turning complex data into clear, concise technical reports. With strong technical writing skills, you're adept at developing asset management plans and technical standards and are passionate about driving process improvements.

Your ability to collaborate with stakeholders, mentor junior team members and combine asset and commercial insights with sound decision-making will make you a valuable asset in this role.

About the role:

You'll develop whole of life-cycle asset management strategies to ensure our assets can continue to deliver sustainable value for the organisation.

Your skills in risk-based prioritisation and cost-benefit analysis will help shape project scopes and objectives. You'll identify potential disruptions to critical assets, propose effective contingency plans, and provide engineering support in hazard studies. You will also be responsible for preparing maintenance and plant standards.

This is an opportunity to grow your career and redefine your role in tomorrow's industry landscape. We offer truly flexible work that suits you, a competitive remuneration package, and the rare opportunity to play a role in Australia's renewable energy transformation while enjoying the lifestyle Tasmania has to offer.

If you want to contribute to a more sustainable future

Please attach your resume and a cover letter outlining what skills and experience you will bring as soon as possible. We will engage with suitable candidates once we have reviewed their applications.
