The roleAs HR Officer at Joe Wagner Group, you'll play a key role in supporting the business with day-to-day HR operations, providing assistance to managers, and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies. Working with senior management, you'll help maintain a positive, safe, and compliant workplace, support recruitment and onboarding, assist with performance processes, and keep our people systems running smoothly.
How you'll do this:
* Prepare and maintain HR documents, forms, and templates in line with legislation and best practice.
* Support managers with advice on HR matters, policies, and procedures.
* Assist with recruitment activities, from advertising to onboarding new hires.
* Maintain HR systems and employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
* Help coordinate inductions, training, and employee performance reviews.
* Assist with employee exit process, collating feedback for review with senior management
* Assist with team leave planning and provide leave balances and respond to other payroll enquiries as needed
* Liaise with external consultants to ensure that complex HR matters are appropriately managed.
* Provide support with payroll processing
* Give advice and support to staff members directly, building strong relationships within the team
About you
We're looking for someone who loves people and process and is ready to advance their skills as a HR generalist.
* You'll have an understanding of relevant IR legislation
* You're comfortable using different programs and documenting process
* You have exceptional people skills and are able to balance professional and assertive communication styles as needed
