We’re seeking a Senior Network Engineer to play a key role in deploying, maintaining and continuously improving Anglicare’s enterprise network environment across multiple sites. Your opportunity As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment and ongoing optimisation of Anglicare’s network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, availability and security across all locations. Working closely with internal technology teams and external vendors, you’ll support day‑to‑day operations while also contributing to continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives. This is a senior technical role requiring strong hands‑on expertise and the ability to diagnose, resolve and prevent complex network issues. The role participates in an on‑call roster to support network availability outside of standard business hours. What you’ll bring You’re an experienced network engineer with deep technical capability and a proactive approach to operational excellence. You will bring: Extensive experience configuring and managing Fortigate SD‑WAN and firewall environments, including FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer Strong hands‑on experience with Juniper switching and routing in enterprise environments Experience managing GPON and wireless network technologies Experience with cloud and hybrid networking, including platforms such as Azure Virtual WAN Strong understanding of network segmentation, firewall clustering and secure network design Experience using monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Juniper Mist, SolarWinds and packet capture tools Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement long‑term remediation strategies Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work collaboratively across technology teams and vendors Willingness to participate in an on‑call roster Qualifications and experience Minimum 7 years’ experience in network engineering roles Relevant certifications such as Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIP), Fortinet (NSE), Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) or equivalent (desirable) Strong understanding of IP networking, ITIL processes and industry best practices Why Anglicare Sydney?
