The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Automation &Controls Engineer to join our Operations team at Rydalmere.
You would be responsible for providing Control Systemsengineering expertise and support to the wider operations team aswell as managing and implementing individual projects in thisarea.
The role encompasses all aspects of Control Systems Engineeringon the Rydalmere Site taking overall responsibility for thedevelopment and maintenance of all control system ranging fromSCADA, PLC's & Safety Systems/Devices, Motor Controls,Motion Control Systems (VSD and/or Servo motors), Industrial Robotsand Cobots, Instrumentation and Field Devices.
Additionally, you will play a crucial role in providingexpertise and support in the domain of machine safety systemsengineering, contributing to the overall success of the operationsteam.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A relevant degree/qualification in MechatronicsEngineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent level ofexpertise gained from a combination of experience, training orprofessional accreditation.
* Industry recognised accreditation in Machine SafetyEngineering
* Experience in Control Systems Engineering
* Knowledge and skills in the practical application ofelectrical and control system technologies found in automatedmanufacturing environments.
* Ability to establish work plans, monitor progress andcomplete work tasks on time and on budget.
* Ability to apply Control Systems engineering principles,techniques, procedures in relation to the maintenance anddesign of electrical and control systems, including but notlimited to:
o Siemens S7 Protocols
o Siemens TIA Portal
o Montions controls system, such as:
+ SEW movitrac
+ SEW movidrive
+ Siemens drive system
o Expert knowledge in the design and development ofPLC & SCADA controls.
o Ability to apply Machine Safety Systems engineeringprinciples, techniques, procedures in relation to themaintenance and design of electrical and controlsystems, including but not limited to:
+ Siemens Safety
+ Sick Safety PLC and all other safetydevices
+ Pilz Safety, PLC and all other safetydevices
o Expert knowledge in the design and development ofMachine Safety controls.
o Advanced project management skills including theability to plan, implement, monitor and evaluateengineering designs and process projects.
