John Hunter Hospital – John Hunter Hospital (JHH) is the centralised point for a wide range of maternity and birthing services and is seeking Registered Midwives to join our dynamic team. It is the leading health facility in Newcastle and supports all levels of midwifery and birthing services including antenatal and maternal fetal medicine, birth suite and postnatal care, high-risk pregnancy and early screening services, home maternity services and Midwifery Group Practice. They are the only facility in our district that meets the Baby Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI) accreditation. The team prides itself on an inclusive, supportive and empowering team culture. JHH provides opportunities for professional growth, structured support, and career progression. A brand-new facility is planned for 2026.
Maitland Hospital – The Maitland Hospital brings new and improved maternity services to the Maitland region. You'll enjoy a brand new, state-of-the-art facility, with a culture that is positive and focused on high-quality care. Their Midwifery Group Practice model is highly regarded by both midwives and mothers in the region.

Requirements
* Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
Additional information
This role is accepting overseas candidates with AHPRA and ANMAC assessment for ANZSCO code 254111 Midwife. An eligibility list will be created for future permanent and temporary vacancies.
