Nurse Officer Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the recruitment and readiness of future Defence personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct telephone screenings and in-person preliminary medical assessments
* Accurately document findings in electronic health records
* Review online medical histories and extract relevant details
* Complete medical file reviews and manage archival records
* Request and manage extant medical reports
* Maintain medical equipment used in assessments
* Work within established Defence policies and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Minimum 3 years' broad clinical experience in a health system comparable to Australia
* Enrolled Nurses must have completed a Diploma of Nursing and possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in the health system
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
* Proficiency with electronic health records and ICT systems
* Desirable: experience in Defence settings or pre-employment medicals
* Mandatory: Working With Children Check and current CPR certification
* Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance
