Key Responsibilities Preparing accurate and competitive sales estimates for custom home builds, tenders, and client variations Interpreting architectural plans, in-house designs, engineering drawings, and site reports to produce detailed cost breakdowns Liaising with clients during the pre-construction and sales process to clarify inclusions, pricing, specifications, and design options Working closely with internal teams—including sales, drafting/design, construction, and procurement—to ensure accuracy and consistency Sourcing and comparing pricing from suppliers and subcontractors Preparing proposals, tender documentation, and client presentation materials Ensuring estimates align with company margin requirements and project feasibility Supporting the sales team with timely cost information and product knowledge Updating estimating systems, price lists, and databases Contributing to improvements in estimating processes and workflows Skills Experience 1–5 years' estimating experience within residential construction; custom home experience highly regarded Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and cost structures Ability to interpret architectural drawings, in-house designs, and engineering documentation Proficiency with estimating or construction management software High accuracy, strong numerical skills, and excellent attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams Ability to manage deadlines, multiple tasks, and a fast-paced workload Knowledge of NSW building codes and regulations is advantageous Culture Family-oriented team atmosphere Collaborative and supportive environment 5-day working week promoting work–life balance Benefits to You Opportunity to work with a growing, respected builder delivering premium custom homes Supportive leadership focused on professional growth and success Regular reviews and clear development pathways Positive, collaborative, and safe working environment A culture that values your ideas, input, and career progression
