Virtual GP – After-Hours Opportunity
We're currently recruiting GPs to join our Healthdirect Helpline team, with a focus on after-hours coverage.
As part of this virtual service, you'll deliver consultations via phone and video, working alongside experienced nurses and fellow GPs to provide high-quality care across all age groups. Patients are referred following nurse triage, ensuring clinically appropriate and streamlined support.
This is a flexible opportunity to contribute to accessible care outside standard hours, with a supportive team and well-established systems.
Key Details:
1. Work from home with full tech setup
2. Part-time or full-time (min. 0.2 FTE / 8 hrs per week)
3. After-hours shifts available: 9:30 AM–midnight (Mon–Sat) & all-day Sunday
4. Fixed-term contract to 30 June 2026
5. Comprehensive training: 2 full days
6. Requirements: Private home office, reliable internet (min. 50Mbps down / 20Mbps up via Cable or NBN)
About You:
7. AHPRA Specialist registration in General Practice (no conditions)
8. Min. 3 years' GP experience (1+ year in Australian practice)
9. Comfortable with virtual consults and digital collaboration
