About The Company
TRI Australasia is a NATA accredited independent, geosynthetics laboratory providing geosynthetics testing and research services to the international community. TRI is Australia's only geosynthetic focused laboratory, with the capabilities to test the full range of geosynthetics. About the role
Based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, reporting to the Laboratory Manger, acting as an assistant to the laboratory manager and lead a team of laboratory testers.
This position is perfect for someone with strong technical knowledge who demonstrates reliability, punctuality and a commitment to workplace safety, quality and continuous improvement. An ability to work cohesively in a team and be respectful to others is also necessary.
Responsibilities
The position will be responsible for:
* Geosynthetic laboratory testing
* Supervision of the laboratory when required
* Oversee and maintain the company's NATA ISO17025 quality management system. This includes, planning, and active engagement in audits and system reviews
* Identifying, documenting & assisting with solving any quality related processes
* Performing equipment maintenance and calibration
* Maintaining sustainable customer relationships
* Liaise with customers on planning and outcome of testing programs
* Technical training of staff
* Carry out work on construction sites nationally as required
Selection criteria
To be successful in this role, the following competencies are desirable:
* Tertiary qualification – Diploma in Laboratory Technology or Certificate IV in laboratory Techniques (desirable)
* Qualified by experience – at least 5 years experience in a geosynthetic or CMT Laboratory
* A professional communication style
* Ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines
* Experience in liner quality assurance testing
* Strong understanding of quality assurance protocols
* Excellent time management skills
* Self-motivated and enjoy face to face contact with clients
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
