We are seeking a skilled Digital Analyst to join our team in Canberra.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Labor's online audiences and the political digital environment in Australia. They will be responsible for gaining insights into our activity, campaigns, and the digital landscape through analysis and data visualisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build compelling data visualisations and dashboards to track online data sources;
* Standardise data from diverse sources;
* Provide expert audience analysis utilising social and website analytics;
* Conduct in-depth analysis on our audience to inform experimentation and user improvements;
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital strategy.
Requirements
Essential Skills
* Programming experience in R and/or Python;
* Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI;
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships;
* Capacity to work autonomously or under limited direction with occasional compressed timelines;
* Willingness to learn new skills and technologies;
* Commitment to the values of the Australian Labor Party.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with mapping software (e.g., QGIS);
* Experience working with relational databases and SQL query language;
* Experience of software deployment (e.g., AWS, Azure);
* Advanced SQL skills.
About the Role
This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment based in Canberra. The position reports to the Assistant National Secretary, Director Target Seats Unit.
The successful candidate will be part of the Target Seats Unit and will contribute to the development of our digital strategy.
