Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic, international environment? Our client, a global trading and investment group, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their Brisbane-based team. The operation is spanning from mining, battery raw materials, grain trading, to international supply chain finance.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities will be:
- Assist with daily accounting operations including AP/AR
- Support month-end financial reporting
- Collaborate with operations to manage transactions across sales, purchases, and logistics
- Assist with treasury accounting and cash flow monitoring
- Process payroll data accurately and timely
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and intercompany balances
- Maintain accurate accounting records and journals
- Prepare draft financial and management reports
- Assist with BAS, FBT, and payroll tax compliance
- Support year-end review and audit processes
- Perform ad hoc finance and administrative tasks
Your Profile
About You
- A degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in accounting or finance
- Progress toward ICAANZ or CPA qualification
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Exposure to foreign currency transactions
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable:
- Japanese language skills preferred
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Exposure to financial and management reporting
- Robust communication skills and adaptability
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
