**About the role**
Bridging the gap between our suppliers, distribution centres and stores, our Supply Chain team works with thousands of trusted businesses every day. We work hard to make life easier, safer and more sustainable across our network, as well as maintain the availability and quality of our products for our customers.
We're looking for an exceptional DC Manager to join our team.
**What you'll be doing**
You'll work to deliver site operational performance in-line with financial performance and business strategy. You'll drive forward to ensure service to customers, have full responsibility in relation to positive full year financial budget results and take the mantle as a champion of safety.
Other ways you can make an impact include:
- motivating and leading the operations team to achieve high standards of performance, while coaching and mentoring individuals to identify development needs
- continuing a positive, pro-active, team-based culture within the operations team through regular and effective communications with the workforce
- identifying and implementing changes in the operational function to raise standards of performance
- a strong focus on store service by building and maintaining positive relationships through constructive communication and progressive actions
- developing and implementing communication channels with all levels of the business (both internal customers and external customers)
- building succession plans for the site team through ownership, accountability, support and empowerment
LI-OPS
**Good things you'll need**
- a successful track record in overall business unit management with leadership responsibilities in change management, cultural development and continuous improvement
- demonstrated experience in leading large teams in a fast-paced, unionised DC environment is preferred
- highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence, present to and manage relationships with various levels of management and teams
- a result driven mentality with proven capability in a changing environment
- the ability to manage end to end processes within a warehousing environment from receiving to despatch and all parts of logistics
- exposure to developing reporting matrixes, as well as an awareness in relation to the cost implications of different resource management decisions
