SCOTS PGC College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our team for a part-time (0.6 FTE) fixed-term contract covering Terms 1 and 2 of 2026. About the Role
You'll teach English to students across relevant year levels, bringing creativity, strong pedagogy, and genuine care for young people. You'll work as part of a collaborative English team committed to high expectations, student engagement, and delivering meaningful learning experiences.
You'll excel in this role if you;
* Build positive, respectful relationships with students and colleagues
* Have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements
* Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage diverse learners
* Are organised, flexible and confident working within a busy school setting
* Provide timely assessment, feedback and academic support to students
* Actively contribute to faculty planning and collaboration
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with Australian Curriculum and College expectations
* Maintain accurate assessment, reporting and classroom documentation
* Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan units, assessments and moderation
* Communicate professionally with students, families and staff
* Contribute to broader school life as appropriate for a part-time position
