Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to support the growth of commodity plastics especially Polyethylene product. The role involves working closely with the sales team, customers, and suppliers to provide technical support, drive new product development, and help convert opportunities into actual sales.
Key Responsibilities
* Follow up on customer projects and provide technical support to help move them forward.
* Work with the sales team to develop and deliver technical solutions that add value to customers.
* Gain strong knowledge of product grades from suppliers and support the introduction of new products.
* Recommend product solutions that fit customer needs and applications.
* Coordinate with suppliers and the sales team for sample delivery, trial execution, and technical evaluations.
* Support customer trials and provide feedback to improve results.
* Help resolve customer quality issues in coordination with suppliers.
* Identify new materials and technical innovations to support business growth.
* Provide market insights and competitor analysis to support sales strategy.
* Maintain close communication with sales on technical developments and customer updates.
Requirements
* Experience in a technical or support role in the plastics or polymers industry.
* Good knowledge of plastic processing, materials, and formulations, especially polyethylene (PE) and other commodity plastics.
* Able to manage projects and work independently.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Clear communication skills, especially when explaining technical concepts.
* Familiarity with the Southeast Asian polymer market is a plus.
* Diploma or Degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
* English proficiency required; other Southeast Asian languages are a bonus.
*Fully Remote Based in Malaysia, with Frequent Travel
