The Opportunity
A growing manufacturing business is strengthening its financial and operational capability as it continues to expand across Australia and internationally.
This is a hands on Financial Controller role, working closely with the CFO to bring greater structure, visibility and control across finance, with a strong operational focus on inventory, cost of goods and margin.
About the Role
This role sits at the intersection of finance and operations. You will take ownership of the day‐to‐day finance function while partnering closely with warehousing, logistics and procurement to improve processes and support growth.
* Lead month‐end close, management reporting, P&L analysis, journals and reconciliations
* Own inventory accounting including COGS, landed costs, stock movements and margin analysis
* Partner with warehouse and logistics teams to improve stock accuracy and controls
* Support procurement with supplier pricing, freight and cost tracking
* Manage cash flow, working capital and forecasting
* Oversee budgeting, reforecasting and variance analysis
* Strengthen financial controls, documentation and compliance
About You
You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operations and being part of a collaborative team.
You will bring
* Strong Financial Controller or Management Accounting experience
* Experience partnering with warehousing, logistics or operational teams
* Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret data
* A hands‐on, adaptable approach suited to a growing business
* CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
* Proven exposure to inventory, stock or product-based environments (preferred)
