About us

The National Trust of Australia (Victoria) (NTAV) is an independent, non-profit organisation supported by a large community base. We are Victoria's premier heritage and conservation organisation and the major operator of historic properties and sites open to the public across Victoria.

About the role

We are seeking an energetic, focused and motivated Property Coordinator to join our small and dynamic properties team, while helping us grow our impact and reach in communities across Victoria.

This full-time role is an exceptional career opportunity for a well-qualified individual with customer service, operations and relationship building experience who thrives in a varied and hands-on role. You will plan for and manage the growth of our three Mornington Peninsula properties and will play a key part in delivering compelling visitor experiences that support profitability, promote the National Trust brand and broaden Australian’s appreciation of our heritage.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Managing the day-to-day operations of Mulberry Hill, McCrae Homestead and Endeavour Fern Gully including the coordination of maintenance, conservation and presentation of the properties and their collections.

* Managing a team of volunteers including their recruitment, training and rostering and activities.

* Delivering compelling, high quality, and best practice visitor experiences.

* Supporting the delivery of tours, talks, temporary exhibitions, events, and education programs.

* Actively engage with local communities to build relationships and identify opportunities for activation, partnerships, and increased visitation across the sites.

* Working with our team to drive business and product development for onsite commercial activities.

* Ensuring the continuous improvement of the safety and security of the property, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

About you

You will be approachable, organised and customer focused, with the ability to balance multiple priorities. You communicate clearly and confidently with a range of stakeholders and remain calm under pressure while taking a proactive approach to problem solving. You will also have:

* A genuine passion for heritage and a desire to share this with others.

* Strong organisational, time management and coordination skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.

* Experience in tourism, hospitality or service industries with leadership experience

* Demonstrated ability to deliver a high-quality customer experience.

* Strong interpersonal skills, with an approachable, empathetic, and collaborative approach.

* High levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.

* The ability to follow processes and use initiative to solve problems.

* Demonstrated experience in property and people management.

* A cooperative approach to working with members of the NTAV community.

* A current Australian Driver’s License.
