Frequentis are currently delivering an end-to-end IP voice communications system and airfield management system. This work forms part of the pioneering Civil Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS), which will harmonise civil and military air traffic control to support forecasted growth across both sectors.
To help achieve this vision, we have several Systems Engineer positions available, offering opportunities across a spectrum of responsibilities. Some roles are more hands-on and deeply technical, while others focus more on documentation and design. We are also hiring DevSecOps Engineers, Service Engineers and V&V Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a strong technical understanding of Frequentis products and project-specific solutions
* Perform requirements analysis, engineering design and system specification
* System installation, deployment, configuration, and integration activities
* Identify and resolve software integration issues during system setup
* Create and maintain technical documentation and interface specifications
* Execute formal testing and acceptance procedures to achieve customer approval
* Engage with customers to understand operational scenarios and technical requirements
* Collaborate with internal teams and international partners (e.g. Frequentis HQ in Vienna)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent
* Experience in engineering projects, ideally within the Air Traffic Control (ATC) or mission-critical systems domain
* A background in systems engineering across the lifecycle: specification, installation, integration, and testing
* Knowledge of Voice Communication Systems and ATC functions
* Experience with safety-critical or government regulated environments (e.g. ASDEFCON contracts)
* Software and communication systems, traceability processes, and test methodologies
* Customer facing skills with a service oriented mindset
* Effective communicator with attention to detail and problem solving capabilities
