Job Title: Meat Department Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated Meat Department Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensure quality standards, and lead our team.
This role involves supervising staff, participating in meat cutting, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and providing excellent member service.
The position requires a rotating roster, including weekend work.
Responsibilities
Supervise and participate in daily Meat Department operations, promoting productivity and safety standards.
Coordinate employee breaks, conduct performance reviews, and support team development through coaching and training.
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety procedures, including SSOP guidelines and safety training.
Monitor product quality, oversee merchandising, and participate in meat cutting activities.
Manage inventory and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Deliver courteous customer service and assist in front-end duties and other departments as needed.
Qualifications
Experience in meat cutting, leadership, customer service, or related fields; food safety knowledge preferred.
Supervisory or management experience.
Butcher Trade Qualification.
High School Certificate or trade qualification.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, math, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Physical capability to perform meat cutting and related tasks.
