Orthopaedic PHO Full-Time Position | Immediate Start

A unique opportunity for a motivated Orthopaedic PHO to gain high-volume surgical experience, research exposure, and career progression in a supportive environment.


About the Role

Full-time position with immediate start

Primary surgical assistant for two days per week

One day per week seeing new patients side by side with direct supervision

Two dedicated days for research, with guaranteed academic output

Opportunity for additional paid overtime covering evening and weekend ward shifts at a private hospital

About the Surgeon

The successful applicant will work alongside Dr. Elix, a Queensland-trained and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with over 16 years of specialist experience. Dr. Elix performs a high volume of arthroplasty, sports, and upper limb surgeries, providing broad exposure to orthopaedics without any gaps. This role offers hands‑on training in a well‑rounded orthopaedic practice.


Requirements

* Australian‑trained medical graduate
* Successful completion of intern year
* General medical registration with AHPRA
* References from prior employment demonstrating clinical competence and professionalism
