Make a difference in the lives of older community members
The Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre (HBNC) is seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader – Social Connection Program to join our team. In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of the Social Prescription and Resilient Connection programs, designed to reduce social isolation and loneliness, while building capacity and disaster resilience among older members of our community.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you will:
* Coordinate and support a team of Link Workers to deliver one-on-one support and connect clients with local events, activities and groups
* Develop referral pathways and build strong relationships with health and allied health professionals
* Manage program logistics including events, bookings, registrations, surveys and reporting
* Work with HBNC's Marketing team to promote programs and engage the health sector and wider community
* Recruit, support and work alongside volunteers and community groups
* Facilitate the monthly Older Person's Events Advisory Committee and other engagement opportunities
* Contribute to strategic direction by liaising with industry partners and participating in sector development meetings
About You
You are an experienced program leader with a passion for building community connections. You have strong skills in program management, stakeholder engagement and team leadership, with the ability to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients and the community.
To be successful, you will bring:
* A Bachelor's degree (or significant program management experience)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the Social Sector, Events, Health, Education or Marketing
* Experience in staff and volunteer management
* Strong client engagement and referral management skills
* Excellent administration and computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
* Ability to deliver KPIs and reporting requirements
* High-level organisational and time management skills
* Current C Class driver's licence
