Canonical's Cloud Support Engineer team is looking for a talented professional to join our ranks. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer support and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
Responsibilities:
* Investigate and resolve complex customer issues related to Canonical's products, including Ubuntu and open source technologies.
* Engage directly with customers via phone, ticketing system, and remote sessions to resolve their issues.
* Participate in a regular weekend working rotation to ensure 24/7 support coverage.
* Contribute new knowledge base articles and maintain existing ones to share knowledge and lessons learned with customers.
Requirements:
* Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
* Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
* Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path.
* Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results.
* Hands-on experience in supporting Linux systems, including virtualization/cloud, containers, storage technologies, and networking.
* Cloud computing expertise in provisioning, monitoring, orchestration, etc.
* Advanced troubleshooting experience in Linux integration with other environments, stack traces, and logs.
* Programming fundamentals in any language.
* Extensive customer support experience with a focus on customer needs and professional communication.
