The Department of Industry, Science and Resources is seeking an Industry Program Manager to join the National AI Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for accelerating the adoption and innovation of AI across Australia’s key industry sectors.

The opportunity
This role is focused on building confidence, capability and clarity in the use of AI across industries. The successful candidate will design and deliver high impact programs that bring stakeholders together, surface practical insights and generate specific sector guidance and case studies that inspire and inform broader adoption.
- The role reports to the Manager, Industry Development and has no direct reports
- The role requires regular interstate travel within Australia
Responsibilities
- Convening stakeholders across key sectors to build cooperative networks to support AI adoption
- Designing and delivering sector-specific programs such as roundtables, showcases, briefings, and industry forums
- Leading NAICs presence at industry events
- Identifying and sourcing practical case studies and success stories that showcase AI adoption and innovation in key industry sectors
- Collaborating across NAIC teams to scale the delivery of best-practice guidance on AI adoption and literacy
Requirements
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative approach to work, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
- High levels of organisational and project management capability
- A robust understanding of AI and its application in industry settings
- Experience designing and delivering successful industry programs or innovation initiatives

To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens. Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
