On behalf of my clients who operate in the Australian Defence sector I am currently looking for an experienced Capability Integration Engineer who holds NV1 or above clearance.
The role will be based on client's site in Canberra (no remote work available for this particular position) and is being offered as a long-term day rate contract with an initial term of 12 months and 2 further 12-month extension options.
BRIEF SCOPE:
As the Capability Integration Engineer, you will be required to provide specialised integration engineering services to the Program Requirements Directorate to implement capability and delivery models and frameworks.
You will also lead capability integration analysis and capability development planning for the NPS Capability, including trilateral integration.
MAIN DUTIES:
* Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the Capability Integration Engineer in support of the development of the Operating and Support Intent.
* Develop and maintain the Capability Requirements Set necessary to define the Fundamental Inputs to Capability necessary to develop the Support System required by NPS.
* Represent Capability Sponsor equities.
* Ensure capability integration in support of Undersea Warfare capabilities and the submarine domain.
* Work across the Department of Defence and AUKUS partners to ensure that NPS Capability are integrated into the Joint Force and interoperable with AUKUS partners and allies.
* Act as the Capability Sponsors Point of Contact and representative in the development of Capability Integration Requirement sets in AUKUS and Department of Defence working groups and forums
* Development and implementation of Requirements Branch Business/Work plan.
* Development, drafting and delivery of briefings, decision and noting briefs, and draft directives for Program Requirements Directorate including:
* Capability Model design, framework requirements, and implementation planning,
* Development of NPS Capability Integration related use-cases and related FIC Leads,
* Development of the NPS Capability Integration Roadmap, and
* Development and management of NPS Capability Integration requirements.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED INCLUDE:
* 10 + years' experience in a similar role where you have been involved in most of the above duties
* Prior experience in the Naval / Maritime sector.
* Solid Engineering background, ideally with some Project Management experience.
* Experience in Pre-Gate 2 defence integrations on major complex programs of work.
* Chartered or Certified Engineering status.
* Current NV1 or above clearance is MANDATORY due to the scope of work.
