Are you an experienced investigator or ready to step up into a senior role?
Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is seeking multiple Senior Investigators to lead complex investigations and support a high-performing Compliance and Enforcement team.
The Senior Investigator is responsible for managing and coordinating complex, and sometimes long running, investigations under CBS administered legislation. You may also contribute to taskforce operations and provide guidance to other investigators.
In this role, you will:
* Lead investigations by conducting interviews, reviewing documents, and gathering critical evidence
* Prepare prosecution and disciplinary briefs
* Support, mentor, and develop investigators across the team
* Analyse trends and provide expert advice to shape investigative outcomes
* Contribute to taskforces, and participate in education and prevention initiatives
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including SA Police, the Crown Solicitor's Office, government agencies, and the community

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong investigative and analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities. You will communicate clearly and confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders, lead high-quality investigations, and provide guidance and development support to colleagues.

* Some out of hours work may be required.
* Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
* May be required to work according to a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays.
* Interstate and intrastate travel including overnight absences.
* Eligible to be appointed and exercise the powers and functions of an Authorised Officer or Inspector under relevant legislation.
* Will be authorised to issue Expiation Notices under relevant legislation.
