About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Full-Time Salaried Duty Manager to join our team at The German Arms Hotel in the charming town of Hahndorf, South Australia. As the Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel, contributing to the overall success of our hospitality business.
What you'll be doing
* Overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, including restaurant, front Bar and Gaming
* Providing exceptional customer service and addressing guest inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
* Supervising and coordinating the work of the hotel staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures
* Monitoring and reporting on hotel performance metrics, such as sales and revenue
* Assisting in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the hotel's competitiveness and profitability
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements
* Collaborating with the management team to identify and address any operational issues or challenges
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 2 year of experience in a similar duty manager or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service
* Proficient in using hotel software and other relevant technologies
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management
