About the role
An opportunity has become available for a Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Hobart Skin Cancer Clinic. Our nurses are integral in delivering day to day clinical support to our doctors as well as consistent and the highest quality of healthcare to our patients. The successful applicant will join a family friendly team in a dynamic environment and be provided with opportunities for professional development.
This position is on a Part Time basis although we are open to a Casual arrangement if preferred. We are looking for someone who is committed to the primary health care sector, providing great holistic patient care.
The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated with a sound background in patient care and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and industry. Mentoring on the job training will be available to the successful applicant.
Your role will be to deliver quality clinical nursing services including:
Perform Skin Checks alongside the Doctor as a Team approach
* Perform Skin Checks alongside the Doctor as a Team approach
* Assisting with skin cancer procedures and excisions
* Sterilisation and theatre preparation
* Complete Dressings post theatre
* Patient education
* Perform removal of stiches
The successful applicant will have:
* Compassion and dedication to our patients
* A positive attitude, be proactive and show initiative
* Previous surgical nursing desirable.
* The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Current AHPRA Registration and National Police Certificate
* Strong communication and time management skills
