Assistant in Nursing – Haemodialysis Unit, Tamworth Hospital. Permanent Part Time role. Hours per week: 12. Remuneration: $26.14 – $28.69 Per Hour + Superannuation + Salary Packaging. Applications Close: Monday, 15th September 2025.
Where You'll Be Working
Tamworth Hospital is the principal referral hospital for the northern sector of Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD), servicing a population of over 180,000. It provides a wide range of services and is a teaching facility affiliated with the University of Newcastle. You will have opportunities to work with clinicians involved in research, education and innovation in a regional setting.
Responsibilities
Assist RNs and ENs with patient care during haemodialysis treatments.
Help establish and maintain the dialysis treatment area and uphold cleanliness and infection-control standards.
Assist with basic clinical tasks such as observations, weighing patients, and recording haemodialysis machine observations.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients undergoing dialysis.
Participate in an education program with the Nurse Educator and work with ENs, RNs and the Nurse Unit Manager for ongoing support and learning.

Requirements
Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree (completion of first year and first semester/trimester of second year), or enrolled in a TAFE NSW Diploma of Nursing with required practicums.
