We are evolving from a centralized studio model into embedded design expertise within product tribes. This shift creates deeper ownership, stronger product intimacy, and higher accountability for outcomes. This is where you come in.
Role Purpose
As Lead Content Designer (Player–Coach), you will both define the craft and practice it hands‐on.
You will:
Lead content strategy within a tribe.
Define voice and tone standards for product.
Bridge brand and product language systems.
Coach and develop content designers.
Remain embedded in complex product work.
This role balances strategic discipline‐building with direct product impact. You are not removed from the work. You model it.
Lead Through Craft and Execution
Own complex, high‐impact product initiatives.
Shape language across critical workflows (payroll, compliance, financial actions, onboarding).
Define naming systems, taxonomy, and structural clarity.
Model best‐in‐class content design through hands‐on delivery.
You set the quality bar by doing the work.
Define and Scale Product Voice
Establish scalable voice and tone principles for in‐product communication.
Align brand positioning with product expression.
Guide tonal nuance across contexts and global markets.
Ensure terminology and language systems remain coherent as we scale.
You ensure Multiplier speaks with confidence and consistency.
Coach and Elevate the Discipline
Line manage and mentor content designers within your tribe.
Facilitate critique and craft rituals.
Develop designers from tactical copywriting toward structural design thinking.
Help teams understand the distinction between:
Tech writing (explaining how something works)
Content design (defining how it works)
You raise both capability and organizational literacy.
Align and Embed Across the Organization
Partner with Brand and Marketing to connect promise and product.
Integrate content early in discovery and roadmap conversations.
Participate in cross‐tribe forums to prevent drift and fragmentation.
Contribute to shared systems, governance, and hiring standards.
You ensure content scales coherently across tribes and functions.

Who You Are
8–12+ years in content design or UX writing.
Proven experience shaping voice and tone systems.
Comfortable navigating financial, compliance, or operational complexity.
Experienced in coaching or leading other content designers.
Able to influence senior stakeholders with structured reasoning.
Motivated to build and scale a content discipline.
