Overview
Help at Hand Support Services is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who would like to join us and help make a difference to the lives of people with a disability.
You will be providing a person‐centred approach and your daily routine will depend on the person you are supporting. Each day may involve activities such as a beach outing, movie trip or attending a medical appointment, or spending time at home with a cup of tea. This type of work is exciting and diverse.
Eligibility & Requirements
* Own fully insured and reliable vehicle
* International police check (or current police check within 6 months)
* Cert III in Disability or above, or equivalent experience
* Current Working with Children check
* First aid/CPR certificates (current)
* Full and clean Australian driver's licence
* Be punctual, reliable and adaptable
* Valuable written and verbal communication skills
* Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest in this field
* The ability to self‐supervise and remain calm and composed at times of crisis
* Right to live and work in Australia
