Job Opportunity: Civil Estimator
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Estimator to join our team.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on, end-to-end estimating experience within the civil construction sector, specifically in Australia.
* Manage the entire tender process, from initial inquiry through to final submission and negotiation.
* Conduct detailed analysis of specifications, drawings and tender documents.
* Specialist focus on estimating and pricing: Bulk and Detailed Earthworks, Kerb and Channel works, Asphalting and Pavement construction, Basement Construction (excavation, retention and structural elements), Piling, Capping Beams and Shotcrete works.
* Secure and negotiate competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
* Prepare clear, comprehensive and well-structured tender submissions and reports.
* Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the site team to ensure a seamless handover and project execution.
Key Requirements:
* A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on, end-to-end estimating experience within the civil construction sector, specifically in Australia.
* Mandatory specialist experience in pricing complex basement retention systems (piling, capping beams, shotcrete) and large-scale earthworks packages.
* A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
* Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong proficiency with estimating software (such as Buildsoft, Candy, MudPulse, MudShark or similar).
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
