Finance Assistant - Part Time up to Full Time
ABOUT IWC:
IWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation that delivers services without discrimination to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
This position involves day-to-day financial and general administrative functions. The aim is to provide timely assistance and support to the finance team of IWC.
DUTIES:
1. Invoice entry, payment, and reconciliation
2. Purchase order management
3. Credit card entry and reconciliations
4. Account and bank reconciliations
5. Petty cash reconciliations and reimbursements
6. Filing and archiving
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
* Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role is preferred but not essential.
* Accounts experience (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable).
* Experience using accounting software systems.
* Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
* Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
* Strong organisation and time management skills to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently while functioning within a team setting.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* A current driver's licence or ability to obtain one.
* A First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain one.
* A Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD) or ability to obtain one.
* A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain one.
*No Card, No Start legislation means the successful applicant must hold a valid blue card before starting work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.
SALARY PACKAGE:
* Salary Sacrifice Packaging valued up to $15,990 per annum, adding approximately $2,000 to your take-home pay (available after probation).
* Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum (available after probation).
* 9-Day Fortnight (for full-time staff).
* Superannuation at 12%.
* Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%.
