We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to work within our Community and Development team as our new **Sports Inclusion Coach**.
**About the role**:
Reporting to the Recreation and Community Development Coordinator and the Sport4All State Manager, you will be responsible for connecting with local sporting clubs and public schools across the City with the Sport4All Program. As the Sports Inclusion Coach, you will use your real-life experience of living with a disability and the experiences of your network, to build strong relationships with our local sporting clubs and schools. You will provide your knowledge and support to assist in the understanding and purpose of the Sport4All Program and the perks and opportunities it can bring.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Support sporting clubs and schools to deliver inclusive sports activities such as sessions and workshops.
- Promote the Sport4All program and educate community groups, clubs and schools about how participating in sports can help people with disability.
- Share with all people from all groups within the community, the opportunities for people with disability to participate in all sporting activities.
- Research and determine the sporting needs of people with disabilities within the local community.
- Keep records and data up to date on which sporting clubs and organisations connect and complete the Sport4All Program, as well as keeping record of the people with disability participating in sport within the local community.
**What you will need to succeed**:
You will align with our values and be a critical thinker, with the ability to motivate and influence others. Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience of living with a disability. In a sports context would be highly regarded but not essential.
- Ability to connect with grass roots sporting clubs and experience working with community groups, schools and organisations.
- Developed computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Practical experience in community consultation processes and experience in strategy and policy development.
- Availability to work flexible working hours which may include weekends.
- Ability to provide an up to date National Police Clearance and Working with Children’s Check.
