How You Will Make an Impact
The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) supports the nursing staff and reports to the registered nurses to ensure safe and seamless delivery of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering care to patients under the supervision and direction of the registered nurse
- Providing observation of patients and related reporting to the registered nurse
- Responding to patient and family queries and referring to the registered nurse as requiredMaintaining the patient environment, including bed making
- Maintaining patient privacy and dignity and responding to their emotional, spiritual and cultural needs
About You
You are a compassionate and reliable PCA with a hospital background and a strong commitment to patient‐centered care.
Qualifications and Requirements
- CertificateIII in Health Services Assistance (or equivalent qualification as outlined in the position description)
- OR recent successful completion of the 1st year of a Diploma of Nursing, including acute/aged care placement
- Previous experience in an acute hospital setting as a PCA or Ward Assistant
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A solid sense of professionalism and confidentiality
- Australian working rights or visa
- Available to work a minimum of 2 shifts Monday to Friday
