Permanent part‐time (15.2 hours per week) – Cabrini Malvern

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) supports the nursing staff and reports to the registered nurses to ensure safe and seamless delivery of care.

• Delivering care to patients under the supervision and direction of the registered nurse
• Providing observation of patients and related reporting to the registered nurse
• Responding to patient and family queries and referring to the registered nurse as requiredMaintaining the patient environment, including bed making
• Maintaining patient privacy and dignity and responding to their emotional, spiritual and cultural needs

You are a compassionate and reliable PCA with a hospital background and a strong commitment to patient‐centered care.

• CertificateIII in Health Services Assistance (or equivalent qualification as outlined in the position description)
• OR recent successful completion of the 1st year of a Diploma of Nursing, including acute/aged care placement
• Previous experience in an acute hospital setting as a PCA or Ward Assistant
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
• A solid sense of professionalism and confidentiality
• Australian working rights or visa
• Available to work a minimum of 2 shifts Monday to Friday
