Your New Role
The classroom teacher is the major in-school influence on student achievement and plays the key role of facilitating effective learning and teaching. The first function of the classroom teacher is to be an effective member of a collaborative team of colleagues who work to put student learning and wellbeing first.

Essential Criteria
* An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education.
* Demonstrated expertise as a classroom practitioner
* Demonstrated expertise as a specialist music teacher
* Appropriate qualifications.
* A demonstrated capacity to align practice with a whole-school Positive Behaviour for Learning model of student support.
* An appropriate mix of pedagogical, content and technological knowledge.
* An informed understanding of inclusive, learner-centred pedagogy.
* An ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to staff professional culture.
* Willingness to participate in staff professional development in partnership with the College.
* Willingness to contribute to the KLA team in their understanding of relevant curriculum and its application to the College.
* Willingness to take on co-curricular activities. This includes bands, ensembles and choirs. Kildare Catholic College Creative Arts (KLA) regularly puts on variety concerts, musicals and music nights and performances for the Wagga Community.
* Capacity to teach Religious Education (RE) an advantage.
* Must hold a relevant Working with Children registration and Teaching Accreditation
* Must have completed relevant Education/Teaching tertiary qualification
* Must meet the requirements to teach Religious Education according to Work, Teach and Lead Policy.
