About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Dry Fire Technician based in Darwin to work in a Permanent Full-time role with multi-site responsibility.

* Permanent Full-time Position - Monday till Friday 7:30am till 4pm (Early on a Friday - 2:30pm).
* Supporting a large contract in the resource sector, along with some smaller contracts and remote sites.
* The role covers the entire Northern Territory, providing a "Bush Service" – running contracts in Regional NT from the Northern QLD border, Katherine, right down past Alice Springs – testing fire systems and checking fire extinguishers.
Key Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Inspecting, testing, maintaining, servicing, and installing all Dry Fire Systems and Fire Fighting Equipment to AS1851-2012 and/or OEM.
* Conducting routine inspection and servicing of Portable Fire Systems and equipment.
* Installing Portable Fire Systems and equipment.
* Assisting in preparation of customer quotations and identifying remedial work.
* Liaising directly with clients regarding service work.
* Conducting facility maintenance.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* 2-5 years' experience within the Fire Industry.
* 1-3 years' experience in testing and service.
* Cert 3 in Electrotechnology.
* FPAS Accreditation (Desirable).
* White Card (General Construction Induction Card).
* Ability to carry out inspection on fire equipment to AS 1851.
* Basic knowledge of AS1851, AS1668, AS1670, AS2220, ASS009 and AS3000.
* Ability to program would be optimal, as there is currently a large gap in that skill set within the team; also happy with a decent tester who is able to test panels.
* Current Drivers License.
* Must be happy to travel.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Must be able to secure a Police Clearance.
* Must be able to pass a standard pre-employment medical and pass drug and alcohol screening.
