You will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) procedures, supporting in-line quality checks, and contributing practical ideas to reduce downtime, waste, and variability.
Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor process parameters and equipment performance during your shift; make routine adjustments within Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) limits to maintain product quality.
* Perform line changeovers and product set-ups quickly and accurately, following standard work and checklists to minimize downtime.
* Carry out routine housekeeping, cleaning, and basic sanitation tasks (GMP/HACCP/allergen controls) to maintain food-safe production.
* Complete production records, shift logs, and quality paperwork accurately (weight checks, temperature logs, batch records, rejects).
* Detect and escalate equipment faults or quality deviations to Maintenance/Engineering and Team Leads promptly; perform basic fault isolation or temporary fixes only where authorized.
* Work with Quality and Supervisors to support in-line quality checks, traceability, and containment when required.
* Follow all safety procedures, PPE, and lockout/tagout rules when required; participate in safety and food-safety meetings and training.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process or set-up changes that reduce waste, speed up changeovers, or improve quality.
* Support team handovers and help coach new operators on standard work and safe operating practices.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1+ years of previous experience operating process or packaging equipment in food manufacturing (or similar).
* Forklift license and recent experience is preferable.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, food safety, and consistent execution of SOPs.
* Practical mechanical aptitude and the confidence to perform set-ups, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting within operator scope.
* Good communication and teamwork skills; able to follow instructions and work cross-functionally with Quality and Maintenance when needed.
* Comfortable with routine record-keeping; experience with production systems (MES, SAP) is a plus but not required.
* Willingness to work a set-shift schedule and take overtime when available.
