Senior Finance Business Partner/Project Accountant
Overview
Our client is a leader in the provision of integrated engineering services for complex projects in Australia and internationally.
The business offers end-to-end project outcomes for complex engineering installations, enabling control of quality from concept design through construction, testing, and installation. This capability supports meeting tight project deadlines by reducing reliance on external providers during time-critical phases.
With revenue approaching $350m and 500 employees, the business is preparing for expansion and additional office space in Adelaide. Reporting to the Divisional CFO, the Senior Finance Business Partner will collaborate closely with the business unit general managers and project managers to maximise financial returns and minimise financial risks on projects.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Divisional CFO, business unit GMs and project managers to maximise financial returns and minimise financial risks on projects.
* Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making across project portfolios, including experience with revenue recognition and cost calculations in a project-based environment.
* Drive improvements to systems and processes; exercise autonomy and influence stakeholders to deliver value.
* Work in a project/fabrication/manufacturing context with exposure to construction or manufacturing processes and related accounting issues and risks.
* Support senior management with clear articulation of financial information to a broad group of stakeholders.
* Position offers potential for progression into more senior roles within the group.
Qualifications
* CA / CPA / CIMA qualifications are highly preferred.
* Experience in project- or fabrication/manufacturing-based businesses, with exposure to construction or manufacturing processes and knowledge of revenue recognition, cost calculations, and project-based accounting risks.
* Ability to collaborate with senior managers and communicate financial information to diverse stakeholders.
